TREASURE TRACKS : CAPE AGULHAS
This time around,Heritage day was celebrated in Bredasdorp with a very exciting activity/event TREASURE TRACKS. TWIN D was assigned as one of a few Pit-stops, the only clue being a musical bus : ' the wheels of the bus go round and round'! Participants in this event had to have a sound knowledge of Bredasdorp and its residents or had to be inquisitive enough to ask around. The activity started out opposite the Police Station and ended at the Glaskasteel, the cut-off time being 12:00! Approximately 150 participants managed to spot the 'clue' and visit the TWIN D Pit-stop, the activity included the leader of the team pushing around a tyre (filled with water) with two droppers on a demarcated track and towing the rest of the team tied to him/her with a rope. Completing this task, they were pleasantly rewarded with freshly made boerewors rolls and juice/water.
TAKING SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY SERIOUSLY TO HEART
We strive to identify different schools and/or organisations locally or from our surrounding farms/towns within the Overberg Region throughout the year to fulfill many a dream and enrich their experiences and memories. The watchword has always been that learners/adults should be identified who have never had the privilege or opportunity to be on such a sightseeing tour before nor have participated in the activities planned for them. It has always been Twin D's motto to make each 'treat' as memorable and unforgettable possible.
